BBC2 NI Sunday, 10.30pm
IN A new fly on the wall documentary, BBC has followed the lives and fortunes of a passionate GAA community in south Armagh.
Centred around Silverbridge GAA club, Gaelic Passions looks at the lives of the players and the community that is bound together by their love for the club.
The new series has gained incredibly intimate access to the people of this rural community during five months of filming, revealing their passion for the team, the sport and the place they belong to.
Dialogue is in both Irish and English as we follow the fortunes of all the Silverbridge teams, from the underage teams to the senior team and the work of the chairman and his committee.
All the blood and thunder of GAA is here including the passionate half time talks that often turn the air blue and leave the players ready to give their all when they step back on to the field.
The life or death approach of the players and management to every game makes for compelling viewing.
This community happens to be in south Armagh but Gaelic Passions could have been set in any rural village in Ireland where there is a community that shares the highs and lows of its local team.
