YOUR SAY: VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE

IT'S ridiculous for the Lib Dems to crow because they won the Brent East by-election. Their candidate got just over 8,000 votes from a total electorate of 57,558. What should concern the leaders of all parties is why 36,706 people didn't bother to vote.

Is it because people don't believe a word any politician says, or do voters know it's pointless as most of the decisions affecting our daily lives are now made by the European Commission?

Voters will only return to the polling booths when they are presented with honest politicians who can deliver on their promises and when our parliament regains its powers from Brussels to govern the country.
