I'LL BE STAYING SINGLE SAYS ROD'S GIRL PENNY
STUART MacDONALDMODEL Penny Lancaster revealed last night that there will be no sound of wedding bells for her and lover Rod Stewart.
She said she was happy to stay single before taking to the catwalk last night in front at a star-studded fashion show.
"Rod and I are just so happy the way we are and have absolutely no plans to marry," said Penny, 31. "We are content just to keep going along the way we have been doing as we are as much in love as we have ever been.
"Rod has just been brilliant and I would never have got back in to modelling if it wasn't for him.
"Having him in the crowd is such a comfort because I can be so nervous when a bunch of strangers are staring at me. I am 10 years older than most of the other models here but he told me I still had a great body and gave me the confidence to carry on - he told me I looked fantastic."
Rod, 57, looked on with a smile as she modelled a new Ultimo range of seductive lingerie during the celebrity bash at Glasgow's Armadillo Concert Venue. The football-mad singer even missed most of the second half of his beloved Celtic's 5-1 win over Livingston to be by his girlfriend's side.
After seeing Penny in the revealing underwear Rod was more than pleased with her performance. He said: "I really enjoyed the show - and I'm looking forward to Penny giving me another sneak preview tonight."
