Carjackmurder: four held
MATTHEW COOPERPOLICE hunting the killers of a pensioner mown down by car thieves were last night questioning four suspects.
A 24-year-old man from Dudley in the West Midlands and two 16- year-old youths and a man in his early 20s from nearby Tipton were arrested following the death of Henry Raybould.
The 75-year-old died after he was run over at his family's garage business in Gornalwood, near Dudley, while he and his son Paul were trying to stop thieves stealing a VW Bora.
Four people had driven on to the forecourt in a stolen Vauxhall before two jumped out and ran over to the Volkswagen.
The keys were still in the ignition and as the thieves started the car, the father and son ran over to stop them. Mr Raybould was then run over.
A post-mortem showed he died from shock and internal bleeding. His two sons - devout churchgoers - have said they forgive his killers.
