I WAS not surprised that Paul McCartney is just as demanding as all other superstars with his list of comfort requests for his up coming gig in Dublin.

But at least his demands are animal friendly - the fact that he wants a meat-free buffet on the night of his performance and will not tolerate leather furniture in his dressing room or even leather being used in his limo is a positive thing.

At least his stance is principled, unlike that of so many other pop divas.
