As our schools dilapidate at such a rapid pace

We can rise above it looking down from outer space

In other words--from the real world.

Let's go to the moon but how to pay we have no clue

Let's check out the cheapest fares, somebody call Jet Blue

In other words--we're in debt

In other words--to our eyeballs.

Let's sign on to this visionary lunar plan

Though budget-wise it could wind up as Bush's Neverland

In other words--we are broke

In other words--it's ... a ... joke.
