FAMILY PARTIES WITH LITTLE BATTLER TAYLOR
TOM RYANA BABY boy known, to his parents as "Our Miracle Baby", has celebrated his third birthday in fine style.
Taylor Campbell, son of Thurles couple Patrick Campbell and Elizabeth Campbell, suffered an attack of meningitis 17 months ago.
During his birthday celebrations Elizabeth and Patrick spoke of how Taylor was so sick he was given a Gardai escort for an ambulance journey from hospital in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, to the Children's Hospital in Temple Street, Dublin.
To mark the occasion he was given a special birthday cake featuring the Teletubbies - Taylor's favourite television programme.
Taylor's happy mum, Elizabeth, said: "He is in brilliant form now.
"We are delighted and we would like again to thank the doctors in St Joseph's Hospital in Clonmel and in Temple Street, Dublin; the staff of both hospitals; the ambulance driver and the Garda escort."
