M3 BRICK KILLER VICTIM IS NAMED
MATTHEW BELLA TRUCKER killed when a brick smashed through his windscreen was named last night as police continued a murder hunt.
A post-mortem revealed that driver Michael Little, 53, of Hornchurch, Essex, died of heart failure caused by a blow to his chest.
Mr Little, known as Micky, was driving a 44-ton lorry along the M3 near Camberley, Surrey, when the brick was thrown from a footbridge about 25ft above the road at around 4am on Friday.
The truck came to a stop 150 yards beyond the bridge on the northbound carriageway between Junctions 2 and 3. A passing motorist who raised the alarm thought Mr Little had suffered a heart attack and it was only when officers found a 3lb brick in the cab that suspicion emerged about the cause of his death.
Police believe Mr Little may have managed to bring his truck to a safe stop after being hit by the brick before losing consciousness and dying.
-A MAN was in a critical condition in hospital yesterday with more then 70 per cent burns after being found unconscious in the passenger seat of a burning car in Hullbridge, Essex.
