McGhee sets target
PETER GARDNERMILLWALL manager Mark McGhee has set a target of six wins from 11 games to secure automatic promotion, writes Peter Gardner.
McGhee, who saw a seven-match unbeaten run end at Gigg Lane last night, said: "Another 18 points will take us straight up."
He remained defiant in the wake of a 2-1 setback, only the second league defeat this year. McGhee said: "The most important thing for me was not the result or the loss of three points; it was the performance which was much better than of late. If we can take that sort of form in to Saturday's home game against Luton we will quickly start winning again."
Bury snatched a last-gasp winner when Jon Newby finished at the far post after a corner had been headed on. McGhee added: "That was an unfortunate break and overall we were unlucky to lose. It was the best we have played for the last six or seven games."
Neil Harris fired Millwall ahead in the fourth minute but Bury responded on 35 minutes with a fine individual goal from Colin Cramb.
