Gonzaga president to speak

The Rev. Robert Spitzer, president of Gonzaga University, will be speaking at 10 a.m. Sunday at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1502 W. Eighth. All are welcome to attend.

Spitzer has written several books, including "The Spirit of Leadership: Optimizing Creativity and Change in Organizations" and "Healing the Culture: A Common Sense Philosophy of Happiness, Freedom and Life Issues."

Jewish group meeting in the Valley

Kehilat Ha Mashiach, formerly known as the Messianic Jewish Fellowship of Spokane, will host an Erev Sukkot service at 6 p.m. Monday. Another service, the Hoshiana Rabbah, will be at 6 p.m. Oct. 8.

Both services will be at the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E. 20th. Both services will include children's programs, and both will be followed by a potluck dinner.
