K N Energy first quarter statistics

LAKEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 12, 1995--K N Energy, Inc. (NYSE - KNE) today issued segment statistic information for three months ended March 31, 1995 and 1994.

Additionally, K N Energy reported its consolidated revenues and expenses for three and twelve months ended March 31, 1995 and 1994.

On May 8, 1995, K N Energy reported first quarter 1995 consolidated net income of $14.5 million or $0.51 per common share, after payment of preferred dividends. This is a 21 percent increase in per share earnings compared with first quarter 1994 earnings of $12.0 million or $0.42 per share.

K N Energy is a natural gas services company and has operations in eight states. The services provided include gas reserves development, gas gathering, processing, marketing, storage, transportation and retail gas distribution services. Principal operations serve over 320 communities and 230,000 direct customers in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming. K N Energy has annual sales exceeding $1 billion and assets of approximately $1.1 billion.
