Leadership seminar

The Greater Spokane Association of Evangelicals will offer a workshop for pastors and church staff Oct. 8-9 at Fourth Memorial Church, 2000 N. Standard. The topic is "Reaching into the Next Generation Through Team Leadership."

The featured speaker will be Dr. Andy Seidel, executive director of the Center for Christian Leadership at Dallas Theological Seminary.

Topics during the event include "Essentials for Leadership," "The Greatest Problem in Church Leadership," "Building the Team" and "Working Together to Fulfill the Ministry: Church Staff/Board Relationships."

Cost is $50 for GSAE members and $65 for nonmembers.

Walk through Old Testament

A "Walk Through the Bible" seminar on the Old Testament will be offered at First Christian Church in Sandpoint on Oct. 6. The seminar will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The featured speaker will be Terry Broberg, principal of Cascade Christian Elementary School in Puyallup, Wash.

Cost is $15 per person or $45 for a family of three or more. A meal and snacks will be provided, and child care will be available for infants only.

Jewish group plans service

Kehilat Ha Mashiach, formerly known as the Messianic Jewish Fellowship of Spokane, will host an Erev Yom Kippur service at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The service will be held at the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E. 20th.
