IT is sickening how we used to laugh at Michael Barrymore, not realising that under his facade was a weak, pathetic excuse for a man who led a sordid life of drugs, booze and gay orgies.

We may never know the truth about how Stuart Lubbock died, but one good thing is that Barrymore's TV career is finished.

Any channel which throws him a lifeline will have an audience of nil. This despicable man should go into exile praying for forgiveness every day of his wretched life.
