Four-part study on life of Moses planned

Compiled by Jeannie E. Nordstrom

The life of Moses will be the subject of an in-depth nondenominational Bible study held throughout the school year at First Presbyterian Church.

Moses was born into a loving home but when, as an infant, his life was threatened, his mother made a basket and sent him floating down the river. He was found by the pharaoh's daughter who saw him crying and saved him.

He grew to the adult who witnessed the burning bush and talked with God, then parted the Red Sea and brought the Ten Commandments down from Mount Sinai. God used Moses to save his people and write five books in the Bible, among other tasks.

Registration for the four-part study will be held at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday and Sept. 19 at the church at Sixth Street and Lakeside. Children 2 to 5 years old may be registered to attend the classes with a relative.

There also will be an evening class and a program for school-age children. For more information, call Marilee Finney at 664-0917.
