First word
Jane WrightDEAR old Bunty; who remembers that wonderful comic from the days when publications for girls were about dressing your dolly, best friends and sewing gingham doilies for Christmas presents? These days you'll find sex tips in girls' mags that would make a porn queen blush. Or am I just getting old? Don't think so.
In a cute retro touch in our fashion special this week, you can cut out and keep your favourite outfits and present them at a shopping emporium near you for further instructions. Most girlies love autumn because it means to hell with fake tan and hello opaque tights. This year, however, it's been blowing a gale since May. So if we do get an Indian summer, don't blame us.
I realise that it looks like a model bomb has gone off in the magazine this week. I was going to apologise to our male readers and refer them to the fabulously riveting Sports section, but actually, I think they'll be just as engrossed as the ladies. Football's for blimps.
Other delights include an interview with sparkle queen Julien Macdonald, who, if you remember, made 'moddul' Kelly Brook and her tiny sequinned knickers big, big stars. Basically, this week's magazine is what every sassy, well-informed fashionista needs. Just promise me you won't do cullottes, okay?
