PRINCE Andrew's former girlfriend Koo Stark is reported to be having treatment for breast cancer.

It is believed that Koo, 46, has undergone surgery in the US - where she now lives - to remove a lump from her breast and lymph gland tumours.

Model Koo has a five-year-old daughter, Tatiana, and is reported to be about to begin chemotherapy after the cancer was found during a routine check-up.

Koo split from Andrew in 1983 after his family objected to her past, which included appearing in a soft porn movie.

Her mother has also survived cancer and Koo's father, Hollywood producer Wilbur Stark, 82, died of cancer in 1995.

Her mother, Kathi Norris Caruso, 85, refused to comment at her home in Venice, Florida, last night but confirmed her daughter had been ill.
