Football: Shipp comes in as Palace beat nine-man City
MIKE ALLENWILLY BOLAND and substitute Andy Campbell were sent off as Cardiff became the first team to be beaten by Palace in eight league games.
Boland was dismissed after clashing with Wayne Routledge, and Campbell went just ten minutes after coming on as substitute.
Palace opened the scoring just before half-time when Danny Butterfield played the ball across the area for Routledge to drill home.
And they doubled their lead on the other side of the break when Routledge crossed for Neil Shipperley to prod in.
As Routledge flitted from side to side, Boland's frustration got the better of him and, having scythed down the Palace man, he got involved in a ruck and was shown the red card.
But Palace failed to convert several good chances and Cardiff suddenly got back into the match.
Graham Kavanagh played a one-two with Robert Earnshaw and drove a blistering shot passed keeper Cedric Berthelin on the hour mark.
As Palace feared another late comeback, Campbell clashed with Shaun Derry and was shown a straight red card just ten minutes after replacing Mark Bonner. MAN OF THE MATCH WAYNE ROUTLEDGE
