BING: LIZ IS DODGING DNA TEST
DAVID GARDNER in LOS ANGELESLIZ Hurley was accused last night of stalling over DNA tests that will prove whether American film producer Steve Bing is the father of her two-month-old baby.
Bing claims actress Liz has still not agreed to allow her son Damian to take paternity tests, nearly two months after he turned to the High Court in London to request them.
The Los Angeles-based millionaire also says that the former Estee Lauder model has not even let him have a photograph of the child she claims is his.
Bing, who flew into London last week for his own DNA test, is said to be desperate to know if he is the father. He is keen to build a relationship with the child if it is his.
On Thursday Liz, 37, made her first public appearance since the birth of Damian nine weeks ago. She surprised onlookers at a charity function when she appeared with an already-slim figure in a stunning white gown.
According to Bing's friend Anthony Pellicano, one of America's most experienced private investigators, Hurley is refusing to give in to his pleas seeking to settle the paternity mystery - although her aides insist she will go ahead with DNA tests.
He said Liz was continuing to ignore Bing's pleas for the test. Bing, 37, launched paternity proceedings in the High Court two weeks after Damian was born.
More than two months later, he claims he has made no progress in trying to establish if he is the father.
Last night Pellicano said: "This is torture for him because he wants to know if the child is his son or not. It's almost like she's punishing him.
"She is dangling this carrot saying, 'You may have a son out here. We really don't know, but it may be yours'."
Last night a family law expert said: "It can take some time before the request for a paternity test is heard by a judge. It is then almost inevitable the judge would order the tests to be carried out and the mother would have two months to comply."
A spokeswoman for Liz Hurley last night insisted: "She has always made it extremely clear she is happy to take part in DNA tests."
