BEARING in mind the salaries and expenses available to MPs you'd think they'd be more than satisfied with their incomes.

It's a shock to discover they have a sideline allowing them to charge for after-dinner speeches.

There'd be many people who would be delighted to make a speech if they got a lovely meal, a drink and a few hours in a nice environment.
