Your Say: Get value for money

IT IS appalling that taxpayers are being left to foot a EUR1.5 million bill for wages to civil servants who no longer even work for the Government.

The idea that these people are getting paid for a job they do not do is just ridiculous.

It is absurd that five former employees of the Dublin and Cork Milk Boards have been made redundant since 1996 but are still allowed to draw wages.

I wonder if I got myself fired would I still get paid?
