By Loris Lesynski. Annick Press, $5.95
When everyone else is going to bed, young Eddie is wide awake. He just can't sleep. So when he hears about night school, he's all excited and convinces his parents to let him go.
At first, it seems like fun. Recess is at midnight. They study nocturnal animals. There are night-lights in the classrooms.
But ... didn't that bus driver look a bit like Dracula? And is the school night EVER going to end? Pretty soon, a tired Eddie is envious of his family at home snug in their beds. But then he finds out he has to stay here, and sleep in a dungeon during the day!
No way. Eddie's got to find a way back to day school.
This very funny and humorously illustrated tale by Loris Lesynski is perfect for kids who don't want to go to bed. It'll make them think twice. And it's good for a laugh.
