I WAS really surprised at how large the difference was between the price farmers get for their produce and the price supermarkets are charging the shoppers.

It was a real shock to find that there is a 390 per cent increase between the farm and the shops for a six pack of rashers.

The farmers are not getting a fair price and Irish shoppers are being ripped off.

After being informed of this I am completely behind the farmers and their protest.
