Bin Laden mother treated for cancer in Paris

IAN SPARKS

OSAMA BIN LADEN'S adoptive mother is being treated for cancer at a Paris hospital, it has been revealed, writes Ian Sparks.

Al-Kalifa bin Laden was admitted to the private American Hospital in the smart suburb of Neuilly on 12 September, the day after the US terror attacks.

Saudi Arabian Al-Kalifa - one of many wives of Mohammed bin Laden - raised Osama after his natural mother died. She owns a flat in Paris's 16th arrondissment and has been having regular cancer check- ups at the American Hospital for five years.

On her last visit two weeks ago cancer specialists decided to keep her in for observation, French news magazine Le Point revealed.

A hospital spokesman confirmed: "A woman of that name is being treated here." French police interviewed her at her bedside in the wake of the American atrocities, the spokesman added.
