BIG BROTHER: KATE'S CRISIS: I LOVE THAT BOY SPANKY
MIKE HAMILTONBIG Brother winner Kate Lawler says she's was looking forward to seeing a lot more of Spencer Smith in the future.
"I think he is wicked and a really nice guy," she said.
The show's first female winner hugged and kissed the 22-year-old boatman from Cambridge - evicted in Week Four - as soon as she left the house on Friday.
She admitted to show host Davina McCall: "There were lots of people I fancied. But if I was going for looks I would go for Spencer. I love Spanky!"
And she told a packed press conference: "Spencer used to be really funny with me and I didn't know if he liked me at all. But I want to see him again, although that's all I'll say about it."
The bond between the two was unmistakeable as they chatted intently at the after-show party at Elstree Studios. Spencer even introduced Kate to his parents.
An insider said: "You could see the attraction between them.
"They want time to consider their true feelings for each other and let the frenzy around them die down a bit. But another Helen and Paul is definitely on the cards."
Kate, 22, from Beckenham, Kent, is now poised to quit her IT desk job for a career in TV or on the stage.
Yesterday she was coming to terms with her new-found fame. She plans to use her prize money to pay off her parents' mortgage and help elder sister Kelly pay for her wedding later this year.
But some members of her family weren't so impressed by her TV victory. Grandparents Walter and Doreen Dorton are so embarrassed by the antics of the Big Brother inmates that they never watched the show for the whole nine weeks.
Walter 74, says he prefers programmes like the Antiques Roadshow and Songs Of Praise. "This programme wasn't really our cup of tea," he said.
A second BB romance was on the cards last night as Alex Sibley, 23, spoke of his lust for bisexual bodybuilder Adele Roberts.
Alex, third in the contest for the pounds 70,000 top prize, reacted angrily to suggestions he was gay. Referring to a raunchy game he played with Adele and Kate under the covers, he said: "I did play Follow The Van with her.
"Hers is one of the phone numbers I will definitely keep. I would like to see Adele again."
