THE General Medical Council should be prosecuted for allowing Dr Kolathur Unni to practise. They already knew of his two convictions for assaults on women.

As this is the same authority which failed to stop a man convicted of drug offences opening a GP practice in Hyde, near Manchester - one Dr Harold Shipman - isn't it time these people were made accountable for their devastating cock-ups?
