BIG brother bosses have kept X-rated sex scenes and racist insults off TV screens.

A whole catalogue of shocking moments includes:

-Alex shown full-frontal as Jade rips his clothes off during her own striptease.

-Alex and Kate simulating sex with their clothes on.

-Footage proving the pair DID grope each other during their dip in the bath.

-A string of foul-mouthed rants against ethnic minorities, charities, asylum seekers and the homeless.

Many of the scenes are so strong they will not even feature in the X-rated video to be released at the end of the series.

When Jade stunned viewers by stripping off on Monday they were not shown scenes where she ran around the house naked trying to rip the clothes off the other housemates. And as Alex also went naked, all fans saw were shots of the chickens.

The uncut scenes of Alex and Kate simulating sex with each other runs to nearly 15 minutes.

And producers have also cut those "did he didn't he?" shots where Alex and Kate shared a bath ...scenes which reveal the pair's hands plunging repeatedly under the water. They were able to censor the scenes because even the "live" coverage on E4 has a 15-minute delay before it is broadcast.

A Channel 4 insider says everyone involved in the series is convinced Jade and PJ did have sex - despite his insistence yesterday there were nothing but kisses under the bedclothes.

He added: "The action in the hot tub between Alex and Kate was pretty sizzling stuff. They did not go all the way - but they did a lot more than viewers saw. There is obviously an attraction there and they were all over each other.

"A lot of the time it is like watching paint dry when you have to monitor the show full-time. But it hots up at night when they have been drinking. Sometimes you wonder if they have completely forgotten there are cameras recording their every move.

"Some of the things that have gone on are beyond belief and you would not believe how much we have had to cut.

"We have had to take out endless hours, some because it's too raunchy, but a lot is because it's racist, offensive and libellous.

"The racist comments started when Tim came in and have been worse this week since Adele was evicted."

Public-school educated Tim started the unheard political comments when he called for all Kosovans in Britain to be "rounded up and sent home".

The censors also cut Alex accusing Tony Blair of "sucking George Bush's ****" during a late-night discussion. TV screens went silent when Jade - who has a mixed-race father - accused Kosovans of arriving in Britain on a "banana boat". And sound went dead as Alex accused the homeless of wanting to live on the streets.

The insider said: "Jade's comments were particularly stupid bearing in mind her background. But it is just the tip of the iceberg - there are mountains of tape we would never be allowed to show.

"All the contestants have been at it and it is especially bad when they have been drinking. Tim is the worst and is always coming out with things a lot of people would find offensive.

"He is very right-wing and is like a posh version of Alf Garnett."

Former housemate Adele said: "I am shocked about the racist comments. There was nothing like that when I was in the house."

The BB insider last night accused producers of manipulating the outcome of the programme.

He said: "The way they decided the latest eviction between PJ and Kate was blatantly aimed at sparing Jade. They kept her in an extra week to boost figures because she is entertaining."
