GMC turns 30; introduces Diamond Edition Jimmy

The GMC Jimmy celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. As a resuit, a Diamond Edition Jimmy will be offered in the year 2000 featuring standard side trim and a front grille guard with integral fog lamps plus side steps and interior amenities. Packaged with heavy-duty trailering equipment, a 4WD Jimmy with 190hp Vortec 4300 V-6 engine and 4L60-E electronic four-speed automatic transmission can tow up to 5,000 pounds. The Z85 heavy-duty suspension package with on-road/off-road blackwall tires are at home on the highway or the north 40. The transfer case also allows the vehicle to be towed without drivetrain modifications.
