RV Centers Inc. launches a nationwide dealership chain
Evans, MillieRumors of a "roll-up" of RV dealerships were confirmed in February when a newly formed Houston-based firm called RV Centers Inc. (RVC) filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
RVC's mission, as addressed in SEC documents, is to be the nation's leading RV dealer Its stock would trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the "RVC" symbol. RVC's plans call for growth beyond the 14 dealerships in 13 states-representing 25 sites-to be bought initially. These dealerships have been in business for an average of 20 years each and sell a wide range of products from 40 RV manufacturers.
RVC management believes it will benefit from the national presence, multiple brands, economies of scale, ability to seasonally shift inventories and the creation of a national service network.
