Your Tax Dollars at Work
Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes took time out from his busy schedule on May 1 to visit the suburban Atlanta headquarters of Scientific-Atlanta, the set-top maker celebrating its 50th year in business. Barnes (he's the one with the keyboard) marked the occasion by ordering a movie (Stuart Little) and a pepperoni pizza using S-A's Explorer digital set-top. The busy state leader fast-forwarded through the flick but didn't get any pie — the interactive pizza link was for show only. Barnes did get a slice of birthday cake, however.
