Paul Quinnett, Ph.D., has been appointed director of Greentree Behavioral Health. Quinnett is a journalist and author of over 500 national magazine articles and seven books. Greentree provides clients with comprehensive therapeutic services, including counseling, consultation, wellness groups and educational classes.

Betty Atwater, associate broker, joins the firm with over thirty years of real estate experience and holds the Certified Residential Specialists degree.

Corlene Martin, experienced construction coordinator, specializes in new home construction and sales.

Bob Keeney, 20 year veteran in the real estate industry, was previously the sales manager of four Spokane new home subdivisions.

Vic Holman has been promoted to art director. Holman has over 20 years experience as an artist in the Spokane advertising community.

Tim Putnam has been promoted to senior copywriter. Putnam has over 9 years experience in production and writing, and manages Quinn Sperling's Broadcast Production Department.

John Lloyd has been promoted to vice president, Real Estate Loan Officer, of Washington Trust Bank's Income Property department.

Century 21 Premier Service has added Lee Anderson, Ken Freeman, and Terry Paddock to its real estate staff.

Ron Calivin has joined the office of Acuff Northwest, Inc. Real Estate in Coeur d'Alene.

Katie Hiatt is the new supervisor of the Inland Automobile Association Coeur d'Alene service center in the Sunset Mall, replacing Kari Maskell who resigned after overseeing the opening of the center last summer.

KUDOS

LeRoy Luft,director of the University Cooperative Extension System and associate dean of the UI College of Agriculture, has received the National FFA organizations Honorary American FFA Degree. Luft received the degree for his support of FFA as a county agent, state Extension specialist, and state Extension director. The degree is the highest honorary award presented by FFA.

Jerry Townsend,owner of Pheasant Valley Preserve, LaCrosse,; David Ostheller, president and manager of Ostheller Farms, Inc., Fairfield and Tim Schultz, area manager with the Washington State Department of Agriculture, Nine Mile Falls have been selected to participate in a two-year agriculture and forestry leadership development program. The program is conducted under the auspices of the Washington Agriculture and Forestry Education Foundation. They will be responsible for attending sixteen seminars designed to enhance leadership skills and increase motivation and in turn contribute to the natural resource industries of Washington state.

Airway Sand and Gravel has been certified with the state for their Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). Leann Purtell and Stacy Fleming are the owners of Airway Sand and Gravel, specializing in State spec. crushed rock.

Buckeye Beans and Herbs has been honored by the Association of Washington Business (AWB) for its "family-friendly" workplace policies. Buckeye was honored for its philosophy of minimizing stress with"common-sense management" and its policy of allowing its 50 employees to adjust their schedules in order to meet the needs of their families.

Both the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Spokane and the Holiday Inn Express-Pullman have received the Holiday Inn Worldwide Torchbearer Award. The Torchbearer trophy is the company's symbol of excellence and is the most prestigious award given for quality service.

The Land Surveyor's Association of Washington presented Jeff Mackleit, of Thomas Dean and Hoskins, with a certificate for successfully passing the level III examination of the Survey Career Development Program.

The Spokane Area Economic Development Council (EDC) has published its 1996 Inland Northwest Manufacturers Directory, a comprehensive listing of data featuring 2600 manufacturers in the region. The directory provides information about fabricators, assemblers, and processors as well as selected manufacturing service companies, in alphabetical order, basic code and by geographic area. Zak Designs is adding an Infant/ Toddler line to its family licensed products. The new licenses include Balloon Bears, The Beginner's Bible: Noah's Ark and Looney Tunes Lovables. The new items will be available January 1996.
