SUNFLOWERS make good cut flowers, particularly Prado Sun and Fire, with its deep yellow with chocolate or rich velvety rosewood blooms. Also grow Pastiche for a mixture of yellows, reds and buffs - some with a bright or deep central disc.
THE multi-branching, tall varieties such as Italian White and Lemon Queen can be used to make an attractive hedge or screen in a sheltered, sunny garden.
ALLERGY sufferers should grow a pollen- free variety such as velvety red Runy Sunset.
