Bing had his flings with me while he was Liz's big love

PREGNANT Liz Hurley's former lover cheated on her with a beautiful actress.

Movie tycoon Steve Bing has been having a secret fling with film star Brenda Swanson.

And 39-year-old Brenda, who bears a striking resemblance to devastated Liz, insisted: "I am still seeing him - but it is very hard with everything that has been going on."

The revelation may explain why multi-millionaire producer Bing, 35, reacted so negatively to Liz's news that she was expecting his baby in April.

He asked Liz, 36, to have an abortion and has now demanded a paternity test to prove he is the father of her unborn child.

Brenda, who has appeared in a series of Hollywood films, has previously kept a low profile.

But when she arrived back at her luxury apartment in Hollywood yesterday and was told the secret of her affair with Bing was out, she said: "We are going to figure it out. I've been out of town for a week and I have just got back. He could hate me or he could never talk to me again after all this. I don't know."

The pair are understood to have been seeing each other for weeks while Bing's relationship with Liz was going downhill.

Brenda, who has modelled all over the world for top designers like Armani, lives only a short drive from the permanent apartment playboy Bing keeps at the luxury Bel Air Hotel.

Yesterday a close friend of Brenda said: "Although she is 39 she is a pretty hot-looking woman-- she can still do the splits.

"She and Steve were dating before all this baby stuff came out - they have been seeing each other for some time.

It's very difficult for Brenda at the moment but they are still together. He has always liked older women."

Bing, who is set to inherit pounds 400million from his property developer father, is one of America's richest men.

He started dating Liz after she split from long-time love Hugh Grant, 41, and wedding bells were later rumoured.

The baby, thought to be unplanned, was conceived during a holiday at Sir Elton John's villa in Nice last summer.

But Liz split with Bing at the end of the summer before she knew she was pregnant,

Brenda, a former top gymnast who was tipped to make the Olympics team in Moscow before the US boycott in 1980, turned to acting after moving to Hollywood and quitting the catwalk.

Her first big role was as a prostitute in The Ice House in 1989.

She also made Skin Deep, a comedy about a best-selling author and his obsession with a a beautiful women.

Recently she starred in saucy horror films Scanners: The Showdown and Secret Games 3.

Bing, who has been dubbed "Bing Laden" by Liz's circle, told friends he felt he had been "trapped" by Hurley, who is now being comforted by former love Hugh. He told one pal: "I"m not going to let her put me in a skirt the way she did with Hugh Grant."

The friend added: "Steve was never under the impression that Liz was going to get pregnant. She is an Estee Lauder model and a movie star.

"They never discussed having a baby - he thought she was on the Pill."

Loyal Hugh has provided heartbroken Liz with a shoulder to cry on after she was snubbed by Bing.

Liz and Hugh, who lived together for 13 years before breaking up 18 months ago, have been inseparable in recent weeks. He held her hand when she had her first ante-natal scan.

She flew to Los Angeles hoping to meet Bing to discuss the baby but he refused to see her.

Instead he jetted to America's gambling capital Las Vegas with his friend Mick Jagger.

Now Liz and Bing are communicating only through lawyers.

Under Californian law he could be forced to pay up to 28 per cent of his gross annual income in child maintenance - around pounds 500,000.

He has dated a string of celebrities in the past including Uma Thurman, Sharon Stone and Caprice. One former lover, dress designer Tracy Richman. has said: "Steve is a born philanderer and adores women."

She also claimed Bing was a let-down in bed.

"He was a huge disappointment. Steve just wanted sex and it was very much 'wham, bam, thank you, ma'am'."

Another friend of Bings said: "Steve just isn't interested in this baby.

"He is a party animal and he has no intention of settling down."
