Organize your time for the most business, pleasure - International Artexpo New York: February 26-March 1
Julie MacDonaldWith this second publishing of Preview magazine for the 2004 Artexpo New York, we bring you the Preview Pre-Show Planner. Our goal is to give you news and information that will help you plan your visit to the Javits Center and your stay in New York. Getting organized, I find, is the key to a successful visit to any art fair or trade show--this magazine contains all of the information you will need to make your visit to New York your best ever.
We start with the shows. If you are not yet aware, Artexpo New York and DECOR Expo New York have overlapping dates under the same roof at the Javits Center. This means the show organizers have made it easy for you to view and buy everything you may need for your retail shop or gallery. Our guide gives you exhibitor lists, seminar topics and times, special event listings and more so you can map out a plan before you arrive at the Javits Center.
Moving on to the exhibitors. Making a buying decision at the shows can be overwhelming, so we try to lend a hand by giving you as much information about the art and exhibitors you will see at the show ahead of time. In the Pre-Show Planner you will find pages and pages of art to preview before you arrive at the shows. I suggest you make a list of who you want to see ahead of time, but leave plenty of time for new business introductions, as the show is brimming with new art and talent in 2004.
And last but not least, free time. One of the reasons we all love to convene in New York City is to experience the food and culture of this amazing place. Check out our museum tour story, which is up-to-date with the brightest exhibits in the city. But above all, please plan a trip to New York for Artexpo and DECOR Expo in February. The industry needs your support, and I suspect you could use the boost of energy you will get mixing with your colleagues in the art capital of the world.
