Dread and Desire
Hall, DonaldThe body's adversaries
salt the pink filet
of concupiscence.
When the woman desired
changes her shape
and the rotten oaks
grow up from stumps
to fall again, ardor
floods the Dakotas
of subject and object.
He wants, he wants, he wants
to rub his wrinkles
against smooth skin.
