IFBB President Ben Weider has always placed a high priority on promoting bodybuilding in Korea, believing that the sport's physical and mental benefits offer the Korean people both inspiration and motivation to achieve success in every aspect of their lives. That's why he made a personal appearance at the 1993 IFBB World Amateur Bodybuilding Championships in Seoul to present the IFBB's Distinguished Service Award to Dr. Un Yong Kim (at right in the photo). Through his various positions as vice-president of the International Olympic Committee, president of the International World Games Association and president of the General Association of International Sports Federations, Dr. Kim has long been an ardent supporter and promoter of bodybuilding in Korea and throughout Asia.
