New combination weigher offers flexibility of single- or twin-discharge

For snack-food applications, the new Spectra 16 computer-controlled combination weigher features 16 identical "weigh-modules" to provide increased weighing speeds in twin- and single-discharge applications. The weigher incorporates an Intel[R] 486 CPU for machine control, running on the company's proprietary Windows 95-based Insight[R] man-machine interface. Insight capability provides an interactive computer-based manual which provides "online" expertise in problem recognition and corrective procedures as well as a graphic-based interface which speeds operator training and ensures consistent machine performance. The twin-discharge funnel design divides the Spectra 16 into two eight weigh-module sections while ensuring the product discharge path avoids product "string out" and achieves repeatable delivery to the bag maker filling tube(s).

Selectacom 360/14 computer combination weigher combines cost efficiency with the flexibility to weigh flowable snack foods in small to large volumes.
