New closures for PET containers are available with a choice of decorating options and liners

New 63-millimeter VHJ Plasti-Twist[R] closures can be applied to polyethylene terephthalate (PET) containers using either existing straight line belt cappers or rotary cappers. The closures are available in a variety of colors with printing inside or outside and with embossing or debossing. Plasti-Twist closures use non-polyvinyl chloride EX Torque[TM] liners that eliminate the need for foil inner seals. The liner is available in a standard barrier and an improved barrier version for more oxygen-sensitive products.

Self-sealing pumps ensure a long product shelf life

New child-resistant (C-R) closure incorporates a desiccant cartridge to eliminate moisture build-up. The injection-molded high-density polyethylene closure features two forms of tamper-evident protection for safe convenient access: (1) a hinged breakaway disc on top of the screwcap and (2) a tear band at the base of the screwcap. Both features are activated using the "press down and turn" process. A separate opening aid is also include to increase senior friendliness.
