A KellyYOUR report about the racism experienced by undercover reporter Saira Khan while working in a small local shop was disturbing.
Yet there are many more examples of the violence which now seems to be endemic in our society. In almost every part of Britain there are individuals who set out to cause trouble. Any excuse can be used - a person's race, colour, religion, age...even the colour of their football scarf.
I am convinced that one of the main reasons for the present situation is the shortage of police and the failure of courts to adequately punish the guilty.
Police have disappeared from our streets and ordinary people have to face these thugs on their own.
