Woman's Day Teams with Carol Wright - Brief Article
Becky EbenkampCox Direct's Carol Wright co-op mailer program will team with Woman's Day for "A healthy new you," a January 1999 promotion pegged to a Woman's Day-designed mailer focusing on health and fitness.
The eight-page booklet, which will be included in the Carol Wright envelope sent to 25 million households, capitalizes on post-holidays diet and fitness resolutions. The brochure contains fitness and beauty tips and healthy recipes along with coupons and offers from national brands.
TV spots announcing the promo will run 15 times two weeks prior to the drop date on the Woman's Day Television show on new cable channel PAX. It will also be supported by radio and print media in the magazine.
Also part of the deal is a sweeps, dubbed "It's all in a Woman's Day," entered through the mailer but requiring entrants to watch the show or flip through the mag to find a "magic word" that must be written on the entry form. The prize: a trip to New York that includes fine dining, a luxury hotel stay and a spa trip.
