Preserving fresh water
Wastewater Solutions says its Aqua-Ject is part of a $7.36 million tertiary water treatment plant in Daly City that will provide reclaimed water to three of the most famous golf courses in the country: Olympic Golf Club, Lake Merced Golf Club, and San Francisco Golf Club.
The 2.8 million gallons per day plant is a multi-agency, collaborative project that will deliver the irrigation water to the courses and nearby athletic fields as part of a 50-year agreement implemented to preserve fresh water.
Wastewater Solutions installed its proprietary Aqua-Ject gypsum injection system to improve effluent water chemistry by reducing the sodium absorption ratio and adding calcium as a critical micronutrient and soil conditioner. The addition of solution grade gypsum directly at the treatment plant allows all downstream users to enjoy higher quality water without the expense of treating at each location.
