Bagmaster's Great Cases - Brief Article
Jon R. SundraI happen to be a luggage freak. I'm always looking for the perfect gun case range bag, camera bag, carry-on etc. I'm sure I'm not unusual in that respect, for we hunters and shooters seem to have more need for specialized luggage than any other interest group. We've got so much stuff to schlep around whenever we go hunting or to the shooting range! That being the case (if you'll forgive the pun), I defy anyone to go through Bagmaster's 48-page catalog and not find something you just gotta' have.
Recently, I ordered a Clay Shooter's Bag from Bagmaster because it was the right size and had the right number of pockets to make a perfect range bag. It has two heavily padded, removable inserts that fit into each of the two side pockets to protect delicate stuff like my chronograph, shooting glasses and camera equipment. Into the main compartment go my sand bags, ammo, ear muffs, staple gun and targets.
The hard-bottom main compartment has two movable/removable dividers that allow custom fitting for specific items. Because it's designed with trap, skeet and sporting clays shooters in mind, it comes with a padded sleeve that holds six choke tubes. It also has a detachable shoulder strap. The Clay Shooters Bag is one of some 25 different range, shooting and gear bags offered by Bagmaster.
They also make one of the best cartridge carriers I've seen; it slips onto the belt and flops open of its own weight when the Velcro closure is pulled. Each of the two rows of five cartridge loops is staggered so that when it's folded closed, the 10 rounds are in a single row for minimum bulk.
All of Bagmaster's stuff is U.S. made and guaranteed for life.
