Shoot NC. Patterning Kit

Most shooting ranges are not set up for the purpose of patterning shotguns. Range managers don't want their target stands and backers peppered with shot and I can't blame them. Then again, what's a poor boy to do?

It's Birchwood Casey to the rescue with a simple and innovative package that really works. Called the Shoot N.C. Turkey Patterning Kit, the shrink-wrapped package includes a large, self-standing, reusable, heavy-duty cardboard target stand and five self-adhesive shoot N.C. turkey targets.

This new kit is part of a family of similar self-contained target units offered by Birchwood Casey. The self-standing, 25"x37" backer is large enough to accept Shoot N.C. targets in a variety of designs including prairie Jogs, bullseyes and close-combat chest silhouettes. Actually, you can mount any type of target to the backer using tape, staples or pins.

What's nice about these kits is their portability, convenience and practicality. Folded in half and shipped flat, the kits come as a package measuring only 12"x18"x3/8" that is small enough to throw in your hunting luggage. Arriving at the range or in the field, me just snaps together the cardboard backer, sticks one or more of the self-adhesive Shoot N.C. targets on the backer, and lets fly.

What's ideal about the Shoot N.C. target itself is that it so clearly and visibly indicates hits as glowing yellow rings. The visible dots are particularly useful in evaluating the patterns produced by smaller size shot.
