A recent announcement by the Illinois State Crime Commission shows that persistent effort by those in the beer industry can have a positive impact on communities.

The ISCC will award Bill Olson, Executive Vice President of the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois, their General Excellence Award at a dinner in June.

Holding his post at the ABDI since 1985, Olson has been responsible for all programs and activities, including "Operation Prom Night," a collaborative effort between the ABDI, the. ISCC and the Teamsters Union to ensure the safety of the area's high school graduating classes.

Olson hasalso received numerous beverage industry awards, executive association and governmental board appointments.
