Gearing Up For Simple And Serious Shooting - Uncle Mike's introduces new Deluxe Range Bag
Clair ReesWhether I'm preparing for simple plinking or a serious shooting session, getting my gear together always takes up valuable time. Uncle Mike's recently introduced a new Deluxe Range Bag that eases this problem.
This is a tough, heavy-duty bag with enough capacity to swallow an assortment of .22 handguns, ammo, hearing protectors, shooting glasses and all the other paraphernalia every shooter needs.
The bag's internal storage space features four zippered compartments and a 15" x 9" x 7" main compartment. One of the zippered side compartments is padded to protect handguns or optical gear, while another holds a padded pistol rug. Interior pouches help organize ammo and other accessories.
I have a couple of these neat, roomy range bags. One is used for general shooting work, while the other is reserved for rimfire handgunning. I keep this bag permanently stocked with a good selection of .22 rimfire ammo, a couple of muff-type hearing protectors, a handful of shooter's earplugs (for spectators who didn't think they needed bearing protection from rim-fire muzzle blasts) and other odds and ends. When plinking beckons, I simply slip a couple of .22 handguns in the side pockets and head for the truck.
