ORGANICS TO YOUR DOORSTEP
REBECCA WRIGHTwww.farmaround.co.uk
Set up in 1994 by former singer Isobel Davies, who was tired of the lack of choice of organic fruit-and-veg in supermarkets. Based in Covent Garden and in Richmond, North Yorkshire, Farmaround makes about 1,500 deliveries a week to Londoners from 15 small and medium- sized producers in Yorkshire, Devon and Kent, together with a network of producers in continental Europe. They offer "a good price for the whole crop". Produce, where possible, is in season and local. Many customers are young mothers who like to use the produce to puree for their children.
