Gold Kings shooting plenty, but not scoring often enough
For The GazetteThe Colorado Gold Kings haven't had any trouble getting shots. Getting them to go in has been another matter.
Despite outshooting Anchorage by 46 shots in a three-game series last weekend, the Gold Kings came away with only one win.
The Gold Kings, which lost to Anchorage 4-3 on Sunday despite a 46-22 advantage in shots, hope to get their offense rolling tonight when they open a four-game road trip with a game tonight against Bakersfield.
Colorado will travel to Fresno for a single game on Saturday and play at Idaho next weekend.
The next Gold Kings home game is Oct. 30 against Tacoma.
