ENGLAND'S World Cup stars plan to make a donation from their pool of sponsorship money to the Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.

The amount will be linked to how well they do in the tournament. But if Glenn Hoddle's 22-man squad win the World Cup, their pot will be boosted to pounds 8 million.

In effect, they have made Diana's fund their 23rd member and part of their share-out..

England hope to win the trophy in Paris on July 12 - just seven weeks before the first anniversary of Diana's tragic death in the city.
