Joan Morgan

ACADEMIC

ALAN P. HILL has been appointed vice president for enrollment and student affairs at Alma College (Mich.). Previously, he was dean of students at DePauw University (Ind.). Hill earned a bachelor's degree in sociology and a master's of arts degree in teaching, both from DePauw University.

ROBERT G. HILL is the new vice president for university advancement at California University of Pennsylvania. Formerly, he was vice president for public relations and spokesman at Syracuse University. Hill earned an associate's degree in business technology from Manhattan Community College; a bachelor's degree in business administration from Next, York University; a master's degree in management from Manhattan College; and a certificate in management from Harvard University.

EDDIE JACKSON has been appointed the associate vice president for University Relations/Public Affairs at Florida A&M University. Jackson has served at FAMU as director of several offices -- including sports information, the Career Center, and public affairs. Jackson earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Florida A&M University; and a master's degree in economics from the University of Florida.

DR. IVY LOCKE has been named vice president for fiscal affairs at Stillman College (Ala.). Previously, she was assistant professor of finance at Florida State University. Locke earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Emory University.; a master's of business administration degree with a concentration in finance/marketing from Washington University (Mo.); and a doctorate in finance/real estate from the University of Florida.

DR. CEDRIC D. PAGE has been appointed executive director of the Center for Social Responsibility and Community at the State University of New York-Oneonta. He comes from the Washington State Higher Education Coordination Board, where he was associate director for minority affairs. Page earned a bachelor's degree in geography from Syracuse University; and a master's degree and doctorate degree in geography, both from Rutgers University.

DONALD SUTTON is the new director of corporate and foundation relations at Columbia University's Teachers College. He was managing director for development and public affairs at Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation. Sutton earned a double bachelor's degree in history, and drama from Elmhurst College (Ill.); a master's degree in fine arts stage directing from Catholic University (D.C.); and a master's degree in business administration from Fordham University.

ASSOCIATIONS

J. EDWARD EASLER II vice president for institutional advancement at the Morehouse School of Medicine, has been named to the board of directors of the American General Financial Group, one of the nation's largest diversified financial services organizations. Easier earned a bachelor's degree in urban studies from Cleveland State University; and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Dayton.

DR. OTIS A. THOMAS the dean of Morgan State University's Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management, was recently elected to serve as a member of the International Association for Management Education's Business Accreditation Committee. The committee oversees applications for initial and reaffirmation of business accreditation. Thomas earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Fort Valley State College (Ga.); a master's degree in mathematics from Indiana University; and a doctorate in management technology from American University.

ULIS C. WILLIAMS president of Compton Community College, has been appointed to the Governor's School-to-Career Advisory Council for the State of California. The council will incorporate school- and work-based learning activities into the educational system. Williams earned a bachelor's degree in recreation/physical education from California State University-Los Angeles; and a master's degree in urban studies and planning from Antioch University (Calif.).
