It's a sad state of affairs
Kelly A. GeorgeIt's a sad state of affairs when a celebrity has to prescribe a plan for eating during the holidays ("Marilu," November 2004, p. 40). Though her words are wise and her advice dead on, it's no wonder that we're a count" of fat people. Do we live in such a state of gluttony that we need to seek advice on how to control ourselves? In my family, we now make smaller quantities of food and make sure we take time to enjoy our feast. We've also learned to prepare a larger variety of vegetables, not just meats and starches. Holidays aren't only about food; they're about family and friends and the time we spend together.
