New Brunswick ACL concludes inclusion project - Child & Family - Brief Article
FREDERICTON NB -- The New Brunswick Association for Community Living announced completion of a project, Keeping the Door Open: Improving and Maintaining the Capacity of Centres to Include Children with Special Needs.
The 27 month project deals with effective practices in early childhood learning and care by addressing barriers to the inclusion of children with disabilities in community-based early childhood programs. It focused on developing a consultation model to support Early Childhood Educators in enhancing and maintaining their capacity to include all children in their centres and provide higher quality environments for their development.
The $300,650 project funding was provided through the Social Development Partnerships Program of Human Resources Development Canada. The report is entitled Final Research Report and User Guide for Child Care Educators.
